CENTRAL RADIATION LABORATORY, PUNE
India is one of the Regional Radiation Centers for RA II region of Asia.
- The Central Radiation Laboratory, Surface Instrument Division Pune has been designated as Regional Radiation Centers for RA II region of Asia and National Radiation Centre for India by World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
- The Central Radiation Laboratory, Pune maintains a hierarchy of radiation standards, all of which are meticulously intercompared at least once in a year and also maintains the three primary standards of the laboratory and the calibration factors always with reference to WRR (World Radiometric Reference).
- IMD calibrates its primary standard-cavity radiometers with WSG at WRC, Davos, Switzerland once in five years.
