Central Training Institute (CTI) is located in the pleasant location of Pashan in Pune (18° 32’ N, 73° 51’E) at an altitude of 560 meters. It is very near to residential quarters of IMD personnel and also nearer to the trainees’ hostel. It is located about seven kilometers from the Main office of IMD, Pune and is surrounded by national research organizations viz. Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) and National Chemical Laboratory (NCL).
Pashan village is located at about one kilometer from the CTI and Pune University is located at about 3 Kms from CTI. The map shows the location of the CTI, Pashan and a way to it, from Lohagaon Airport and Pune Railway station.
